and so is wednesdaynight...
Really hope the guys and girls get some decent laps in! Just wishing the weather to improve, and those involved at the incident at the 13th are ok. Is there any chance of extra practicetime before racing, this must be terrible for those not qualified yet.

Personally I agree, but it obviously isnt possible these days any more.
I ve read many discussions about it, and lost count of the pros and cons.
Especially the classics may still sound unbelievable in early morning, just how my TTvisiting-history started. Excellent.

I do not think anyone has qualified yet. I don't know why people even mention early morning practices, it is just quite rightly never going to happen.

I think a lot of consideration went in to discontinuing the morning practices, the usual lack of marshals being the main one, or so I believe.

I loved the morning practices, many 5.30am trips up the mountain getting ready with a flask of tea, it did seem to get the best weather conditions, albeit cold and damp roads from overnight dew.

Personally I'm all for some emergency early morning road closures, just in case. And the demise of the Thursday practice during TT baffled me, would love to this return and also added to the MGP fortnight too.

Me too, especially on those clear, still days when the sounds carried for miles and the smells hung around for ever.
Even if marshalls could be found it will never come back, we're all too busy in the age of entitlement seeking out new sources of offence and complaint.  A shame because it would go a long way towards solving the track time problem.

There was a Thursday morning practice scheduled in the regs for TT2014 (mid morning rather than early morning) but this was subsequently dropped by the time the final schedule was decided upon. It wasn't run then and I don't see that anything has changed to make it happen now.
