William Dunlop at Bishops Court

It was business as usual for William at the start of an exciting easter race schedule starting today at a dry but cold windswept Bishops Court. William who has committed his time to the Chris Dowd Racing team for the 600 & superbike this season went out for the free practice and qualifying times looking both sharp and smooth. His time in practice sessions in Spain having paid off and he qualified for the first race of the weekend on pole position.

William would have almost certainly been favourite for this race after his exceptional easter weekends racing from last year and he didn’t disappoint.

It was a tight race from the off and as the pack appeared on the back straight it was Jason Lynn who was leading the way with William sitting in second place and the rest of the pack chasing close behind with the same standings for the second la.

William still sitting in second place was looking comfortable and certainly not out of the race.

As the front runners appeared for the third lap, this time it was William at the front with a small lead on Jason but the gap became larger and more comfortable as the race progressed.

William finishing the last lap with a more than comfortable lead showing he can still mix it with the short circuit riders on some spectacular machinery provided by Chris Dowds’ team
