Popular Czech for KDM Hire Cookstown 100

Without question, one of the most popular competitors on the irish road race scene is Czech rider, Michael Dukopil, the 37 year old rider from Prague will return to the KDM Hire Cookstown 100, and will be on board the red and silver liveried Hondas for Wilson Craig Racing, on which he made his debut with at the opening race of the season, the Mid Antrim 150.
Dukopil, who is the reigning Czech road race supertwins champion, will also contest the Supertwins and 400 classes on board the RT&E, kawasaki machinery
The hugely popular rider is more than capable of securing string of top class results, in each class he is contesting.
At last years KDM Hire Cookstown 100, Dukopil was third in both open and supersport B races.
As 2015 race season progressed,“Indie, as he is known to everyone, went on to finish runner up in the Irish road race 400/450 championship, following 400 victories at Kells, Skerries and Armoy.
Michaels best results have come in the smaller class machinery, but now armed with the Wilson Craig Hondas, this could just be the ticket he has been waiting for.
Looking back over 2015,Michael rates his Supertwin result at the IOM TT as a personal best achieveiement last year, where He finished tenth, , beating the likes of Martin Jessopp, David Johnson, Danny Webb and two time junior Manx Grand Prix winner Michael Sweeney.
Travelling with Michael will be his girlfriend, Veronika hancokvy, who will also be competing at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100.The first Czecholvakian to compete at the Cookstown 100, was Frankiest Stasny, on the semi works Jawa, back in 1969 , when the Cookstown 100 was run on the Grange circuit, and held on a Wednesday!
Breaking from its traditional season opener, the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 will continue with its popular 18 race format .
The local based hirestore KDM Hire are back on board again for their Fourth term as Title sponsor for the Cookstown 100, which is Irelands oldest and longest running road race (The Cookstown is the longest running, by four months!, the Cookstown and UGP, Both started in 1922!)
