Important Information for Potential Manx Grand Prix Newcomers.

The Manx Motor Cycle Club has recently agreed for the 2017 Manx Grand Prix races all Newcomers resident in the UK and the Isle of Man who may be competing in the event must have held as a minimum a National Licence issued by the ACU or SACU for at least 12 months prior to the first day of practicing.

Competitors from other FMN’s must have held an FIM International Non-Championship licence for a minimum of 12 months prior to the first day of practice.

Secretary of the Meeting, Caroline Etherington, said:

“Previously competitors had to hold the relevant competition licence for 6 months and the new requirements will ensure that potential Newcomers will have gained more experience and racing track time, better preparing them for competing on the Mountain Course for the first time”.

Will this rule change apply for the Classic TT as well or is it only for those entering the MGP??

As it's the MMCC who issued this press release and not the organisers of the Classic TT,  I believe that this applies to the Manx Grand Prix only.
