Entrants enclosure passes 1920s- 1950s
Looking through some old stuff I found my Great Great Uncles (N.O.Soresby) entrants enclosure passes that he'd saved.

That's some collection. You have to wonder how many of these things are still in extistence, never mind being in the kind of condition these appear to be. I see there's one from the 1947 TT - that's the first year my late father went.

A 1939 pass as well. Is that what was referred to as the Nazi TT. That would of been a experience.

What an amazing and delightful collection.
These would fetch a good sum if auctioned by Bonhams at the TT Riders Association Annual Luncheon.
Thank you for showing them to the Forum Members.
My Dad rode as a reserve for the Triumph team in the 1934 TT, then rode again from 1947 to 49, finishing second to Geoff Duke in the 1949 Senior Clubmans TT.

They're fantastic! thanks for sharing.
I see your Great Great Uncle was the only person to ever finish a TT on a "Peco" motorcycle!
And in the first year they ever made them (1914)!
An achievement to be proud of.

How did that middle bloke get through scrutineering without a regulation mustache?

Reminds me of the bad guy in the early Flash Gordon flicks.

My interest with the TT and MGP started in 1962 as a result of a school holiday on the magic Island. The history of the events is of huge interest to me and this posting exemplifies that history. Having a family interest only increases the posting's impact. Many thanks tony2000!

Really good thread! That's a really precious find there Tony2000! My thanks too for sharing.

I like the photo of your great-great Uncle having a spill at Ramsey hairpin by the look of it. Can't help wondering if Roy Moore was there to commentate on it! Probably a bit early, even for him though.

I'm certain he would have shouted out something like 'A sore one for Soresby!'

Anyway, I would be real proud to have a piece of TT/MGP history like this in my family, so thanks again for posting, brilliant!
