Well I think it's odds on that michael dunlop will break uncle Joey's record this year for me it will be a bit sad to see it go but you never know at the TT anything can happen I think this years supersport is going to be a tough one with the Triumph's being a big threat and even the Ducati's getting in on the act but knowing Michael he can get the best out of what he's got i can't wait for the outcome bring it on.l

RE: Records
I'm looking forward to Michael taking the record,
but I think, when that happens, I can see, for me at least, the TT will take a back seat to the Manx in future years.
Cutting down from the number of days at TT & increasing the Manx (& maybe S100 too!).

You know what cap, that's my thinking too. I've posted on it on another thread and the record is something I want to witness live.

I saw his first newcomers at the Manx in 2006 and thought the mad begger would be lucky to get around in one piece, little did I know!

I remember thinking similar thoughts, when he won that Supersport race, in damp conditions.
He matured well!

i were there too, on cronk y voddy. Wild lad in his early days, more so at the TT when he had a privately run fireblade, on the edge didn't cover it.

Fair play though, MD has smoothed out, he's a polished TT rider now. Competitive on any size bike, which is rare.

He's the man to beat in any class.

Yer maun.... Yes, I know the significance of the "yer maun" mantle

It will have taken 24yrs to at least  equal Joey's fantastic record of 26 wins at 48 yrs old Michael is 34 yrs old my point is if Michael does break the record and continues to rack up more wins it's difficult to see in my opinion anybody getting anywhere near it in the future to break the record ,this rider and his family will go down in history as the greatest pure road racers ever a well deserved accolade.
