For other chaps in Britain, if you want to check your PSA levels and are bothered that you won't be able to get in to see your GP,
you can do as I've done and send for a home testing kit from here:

You provide a blood sample from your finger using the device provided in the kit, send it back and in my case, I'd got the results in two days.

I hasten to add I'm nothing to do with this body, I merely used them for my own peace of mind. But they were very good indeed and I'd urge
you to follow John Holden's good advice and get checked out.
