RUNNING repairs, driving rain, gusting wind and an unscheduled diminution in the Isle of Man's longtail population marked the 24-hour endurance challenge last week by two teams from Bike magazine.

The target - to ride continuously round the TT circuit from lunchtime on Wednesday until the same time the next day - saw the teams collectively cover more than 2,000 miles, use £500-worth of petrol and complete 58 laps in total.
