UNINTERUPTED LIVE RACE COMMENTARY SERVICE AND ANALYSIS SHOWS NEW FEATURES OF 2019 ISLE OF MAN TT RADIO SERVICE
Increased focus on qualifying and race action from the TT Mountain Course with virtually unbroken live qualifying and race commentary and new pre and post-race analysis programmes are at the heart of this year’s Isle of Man TT Radio fuelled by Monster Energy.
The new commentary coverage gets underway in time for the first qualifying session on Saturday 25th May from 6pm (GMT) with interviews and analysis from the heart of the TT Paddock from Tim Glover, Chris Kinley and Chris Palmer, with former TT Race winner Patrick Farrance stepping in when the sidecars are on track. Chris Boyde will be the anchor commentator from the tower during qualifying.
Chris Kinley will be at the apex of the action on Race days, broadcasting from the Grid and Pit Lane and he will also providing updates and interviews from Pit Lane and the winner’s enclosure. Tim Glover has the anchor commentator role from the Grandstand tower on race days with Chris Boyde providing analysing the action while Dave Christian at Glen Helen and Roy Moore at Ramsey Hairpin will support the Race commentary team with updates from around the Course.
Chris Boyde will host a new ‘Attention Paddock’ qualifying and Race day preview show and post qualifying session and Race day ‘Parc Ferme’ programme from Monday 27th May featuring leading current and former riders as well as other motorsport personalities. The shows will be broadcast live from a pop up radio studio underneath the Main TT Grandstand.
As well as following every minute of track action on the Mountain Course, and the in-depth analysis of all of the talking points on the track, the TT Races two week radio station will feature presenters Chris Williams, Marc Tyley Ben Hartley, Bob Harrison and Simon Quine providing music, festival information, what’s on and travel updates throughout the day as well as regular TT news on all the breaking stories on and off the track.
The service will be available on island wide via AM1368 as well as 87.9 in Douglas and Ramsey and on 100.6 in the Northwest of the island via the FM service and worldwide via the Official TT Races website – iomttraces.com.
