The opening practice session of the evening practice for 250cc & 350cc Single machines saw Blackpool’s Roy Richardson top the leaderboard on the 350 FCL Aermacchi, followed by Chris Palmer on a 350 AJS and Rich Hawkins on a 350 Ducati.

In the 250cc category Ted Fenwick was quickest on his Ducati followed by Roger Birkenhead.

The Lightweight class followed with Mike Hose heading the list on his Ariel Arrow, then Ewan Hamilton and Tom Jackson (Suzuki’s)

The Junior (350’s) were headed by Alan Oversby on his Craven Honda, with Roy Richardson (Aermacchi) and Mike Hose (Honda)

Whilst the Senior 500cc class was topped by the exotic sounding MV Agusta, with Watty Brown second on his Petty Manx and Mark Parrett on his Matchless G50.

Guy Martin unofficially broke the lap record in the Post Classic class by almost 4 seconds on the Suzuki XR69, with Mike Hose appearing on the leader board for the third time, and likewise Roy Richardson third.

The second session for the 250/350 Singles were headed by Mike Hose in the larger class and Roger Birkenhead in the quarter litre singles.

The final session of the evening for Sidecars was topped by Vince & Phil Biggs.
