Kiyonari said:

"I am so happy with two wins today as it has moved me up in the championship and that is what is important. I knew that Josh was chasing me but I kept pushing and it paid off."

Kiyonari fired off the line on the opening lap ahead of Chris Walker and Brookes in third, with the Stalker taking the lead at the Hairpin only for eventual race winner Kiyonari to retake the advantage a lap later at Gerrards.

Brookes moved up to second into Gerrards on the seventh lap to make it another HM Plant Honda one-two and the pair strung out a lead to gap Michael Laverty in third and Michael Rutter in fourth.

Walker dropped to fifth as John Laverty closed in on the Buildbase Kawasaki after passing rival Simon Andrews on the MSS Colchester Kawasaki over the final laps. Championship leader Tommy Hill salvaged a top ten finish in eighth after getting the better of Tommy Bridewell for eighth who had earlier been embroiled in a scrap, whilst Andrew Pitt dropped to tenth.

Hudson Kennuagh extended his championship lead in the Mirror.co.uk BSB Evo class after winning race two as rival Steve Brogan crashed out on the opening lap, with David Johnson and Gary Johnson completing the podium.
