Irish Ago Racing and Team GSR Racing USA Press Release for 2008. Well after a very successful 2007 season it's now time to look forward to the 2008 Season and with this in mind it's very good to have things in place at such an early stage for us. Irish Ago Racing's rider Kevin "Ago" Murphy has secured a ride with Ron Halem out of California on his very special Featherbed Framed 500cc Gold Star BSA. Ron is known amongst his friends as "Gold Star Ron" and will be referred to as such in all our future team updates. I will again have the support of my good friend Fred who will let me run his Mk1 250 Ducati at select events in the UK and on the Island. In the main Irish Ago will Race the 500 BSA Gold Star at the following meetings starting at Roebling Road Raceway, Bloomingdale, Georgia the end of February, then on to Daytona in Florida in early March, returning to the States the end of April for an Event at Willow Springs in California. This will be his last ride on the BSA before it is shipped to the UK prior to him racing it in the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix the end of August. For 2008 Irish Ago will be concentrating on Racing Classic machines with one or 2 outings on Ganda Racings VFR 400 Honda on which he finished 3rd in the support class at the Southern 100 in 2007.
