Many people are proud of their 100 mph
lap, but Jackie McCredie has a very special ton under his belt. Jackie is 100
today, making him the oldest TT rider.
A life member of the TTRA, he
first rode in the TT in 1939. After the war he returned in 1948 to take 6th
place on his Excelsior.
Still a passionate motorcycle enthusiast,
Jackie ran his own bike shop in Jock's Lodge, in his native Edinburgh until he
retired in 1987. |
Resident now in Braeside House, he is
a popular member of their community, playing the piano and dancing.
The
staff in the home think the world of their motorcycling hero.
It's a
really nice place, and I imagine there will be some piano playing, singing and
general partying today!
Congratulations and best wishes from all at
TTwebsite. |
