The issue concerns the fact that the passenger platform must be 300mm wide x 800 mm long, as per the diagram on page 42 of the regulations, to comply with ACU regulations, which have been in place since the year 2000. Some new machines apparently do not meet this requirement.

The ACU believes that the changes and cost required to make the necessary alterations are minimal and that competitors have sufficient notice to comply with the regulations. It is also understood that some manufacturers will carry out their own inspections to ensure their machines comply with the regulations before the start of the first TT practice.
