The weather forecast for today, issued by the Met. Office at Ronaldsway at 7am. Cloudy but mostly dry with a few brighter spells developing later this morning - however the hill fog will be very slow to lift. Temperatures up to 14 Celsius 57F with a light breeze.

The first race today is the four lap combined Lightweight 250cc and Lightweight 400cc with a scheduled start time of 10.45am. In the 250cc Class Jason Griffiths (DTR Yamaha) was fastest in practice with a lap in 19m. 12.1s. - 117.90mph - 10.6 seconds faster than Ian Lougher (Manton Honda) who lapped at 116.82mph just 0.1 seconds faster than lap record holder John McGuinness (Demon Vimto Honda) 116.81mph. The top six was completed by Bruce Anstey (DTR Yamaha) 115.20, Richard Quayle (Bullock Vimpto Honda) 114.44 and Neil Richardson (Yamaha 250) 113.93. In practice riders completed 161 laps - 6,074.53 miles.

The 400cc Class was led by Brett Richmond (Honda CBR400) in 21m. 26.3s - 105.60mph, some 7.7 seconds faster than Brian Gardiner (Kawasaki ZXR400R) at 104.97mph - 609 seconds up on Craig Shirriffs (Honda CBR400) at 104.41. Steve Linsdell (Yamaha 400) was fourth at 103.80, Geoff McMullan (Yamaha FZR400) fifth at 103.97 and David Madsen - Mygdal (Honda NC30) sixth at 103.57. Riders completed 189 laps - 7,130.97 miles.

The Suzuki TT Parade Lap, led by Graeme Crosby and Mick Grant is scheduled to get under way at 12.45pm.

The second race of the day is the three lap Sidecar "B" with a 1.45pm starting time, and Rob Fisher/Rick Long will be all out to complete another Sidecar Double - but it won't be easy. Ian Bell, Geoff Bell and Allan Scholfield who were forced to retire in the first race on Saturday are sure to put the pressure on the No. 1 starter, as will Gary Horspole, Stephen Norbury and Roy Hanks hoping to improve their positions from the first race.

A busy day ends with the T.T.R.A. La p of Honour with an entry of 177. The first 40 riders are on Benellis to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dario Ambrosini's 1950 Lightweight 250cc victory, and Kel Carruther will be second away. At the rear of the field will be Jim Redmond on an M.V. Agusta 3.
