The weather for todays race, issued by the Met. Office at Ronaldsway at 6:30am. Rather a misty start but any low cloud should lift and brighter spells will develop. Cloud will thicken this afternoon but it should stay mainly dry until this evening. Temperatures reaching 15C / 59F at best.

The first races today are the four lap Ultra-Lightweight TT and the Singles race, with a scheduled start time of 10:45am. In practice, four times winner Robert Dunlop (125 Crossan Honda) was fastest in 21m 04.2s - 107.44mph, some 6.3 seconds faster than Darran Lindsay (Honda 125) who lapped at 106.91mph to lead Gary Dynes (Honda 125) - 105.88mph - by 11.4s. The top six was completed by Joey Dunlop (Honda 125) - 105.83mph, Chris Grose (Splinters Honda 125) - 105.13mph and Garry Bennett (Honda 125) - 104.73mph.

In the Singles Class Jason Griffiths (Chrysalis AMDM 720) topped the leaderboard in 20m 21.2s - 111.23mph, 29.4 seconds faster than his team mate John McGuinness - 108.61mph, who was 49.2 seconds faster than Steve Dey (Tigcraft Yamaha 727) who lapped at 104.50mph. Rich Hawkins (Tigcraft Rotax 600) was forth at 101.95mph, Bill Swallow (BRS750) fifth at 101.89mph and Denis Gallagher (Tigcraft Yamaha) sixth at 101.74mph.

The four lap Juinor 600 Race is due to start at 1:15pm. The lap record was broken in practice by Adrian Archibald (Dowd Honda 600) who lapped at 18m 46.8s - 120.54mph - just 0.3 seconds faster than David Jefferies (V&M Yamaha R6) who was also inside the record at 120.51mph. Jim Moodie (Honda CBR600) was third at 118.17mph 22.3 seconds down. The top six was completed by Joey Dunlop (Harris Honda CBR600) - 118.03mph, Shaun Harris (Yamaha R1) - 117.83mph and Ian Duffus (Honda Britain 600) - 117.71mph.
