Bulletin 4 - Tuesday 30th May - pm.

The conditions for this evenings session could be summed up in one word - perfect. The bigger classes were first out and 16 F1 Adrian Archibald and 42 Production Sandra Barnett were first away from the line followed by 52 Production Alan Jackson jnr and 7 F1 Michael Rutter, 56 Pro-duction Andy Jackson and 11 F1 James Courtney. Jim Moodie and Nigel Davies were on their Proddie bikes whilst David Jefferies, Jason Griffiths and Blair Degerholm were on their F1 machines.

Michael Rutter was first back with a lap at 119.44mph but team-mate David Jefferies recorded a 122.11 lap. Ian Lougher lapped at 119.60, Jason Griffiths 118.71 all on their F1 machines. Jim Moodie posted a 117.81 on his Production bike and Shaun Harris did 116.38 on his 600. Flying laps for the F 1 Class - David Jefferies 124.12 - Ian Lougher 120.17 - Joey Dunlop 120.10.

In the Production Class Adrian Archibald lapped at 118.86 and Richard Quayle, last years double M.G.P. winner did 118.02mph. Some early times from the Lightweight 250's - John McGuinness, last years winner and lap record holder did 116.55 and Richard Quayle 113.84.

In the 125's Darran Lindsay lapped at 106.91 and Joey Dunlop 105.83mph. This evening a total of 269 Solos and 73 Sidecars were examined in the Scrutineering Bays. Incidents reported this evening - 65 Lightweight 400 Brian Gardiner came off at Union Mills and 72 Sidecar Jon Perkins / Peter Allebone came off at Ballacraine - all O.K.
