They were followed by Jim Hodson, Kjimpe Dijk, former Manx Grand Prix winner Gary Carswell, Mark Watts and newcomer Bruno Bayle.

Due to the worsening weather conditions the first part of the session was cut short by five minutes. The conditions can be judged from the opening lap speeds - Gary Carswell did 99.20mph, Mark Watts 98. 17, Carl Rennie 97.61 and Jim Hodson 96.27mph. At 7 p.m. it was announced due to conditions the session was abandoned.
