Joey Gets a Factory Engine.

Joey Dunlop will use a factory HRC VTR superbike engine for this year's Isle of Man TT races

The 23 times TT winner, now contemplating retirement, will use the engine in the VTR machine run by the Demon Vimto Honda British Superbike championship team for the races around the 37.74 mile circuit.

Dunlop will race the machine in the Formula One and Senior TT events. Joey said: "I'm really pleased to get this engine. I rode the kitted VTR machine at the North-West 200 and I knew it had potential. With the factory motor it should be very competitive." and went on to add: "This is a great chance and I'm looking forward to getting out on the TT course with the machine."

Honda's UK racing manager Bob McMillan commented: "It's great to be able to give Joey this bonus for the TT. He's heading for retirement after a great career and we thought this would be one way of Honda saying thank you to Joey. We know the factory engine is strong after watching the first few rounds of the World Superbike championship so I'm sure Joey can put it to good use around the TT.
