Geoff Mc Mullen Excluded From 400cc Lightweight.

The Auto Cycle Union wishes to co-announce that the usual after race technical inspection of the winning motorcycles in the Lightweight race revealed that the motorcycle which finished first in the 400cc Class (No 64, Yamaha FZR400, rider Geoff McMullan) had an engine cubic capacity exceeding the 400cc permitted limit for the class. The actual measurement was 599.06cc.

The International Jury, having heard from the rider and the Clerk of the Course, has ordered :-

1. That the exclusion of the rider from the results of the Lightweight 400cc TT is confirmed, together with the loss of all awards connected to the same.

2. That the rider is excluded from participating in all remaining races during the course of the 2000 TT Races.

3. That a fine of £500 be imposed on the rider.
