  Bill Snelling Passes

I note in the VMCC rag that Bill Snelling has died.

There is much work from Bill on the classic part of the main website and a myriad of photos.

Bill was also gracious enough to respond and supply some info I needed to assist me with this site shortly after Malcolm's passing.

More than that I cannot add as I never met him, but he was an encyclopedia of knowledge.

Bill's Obituary

Thanks Bill R.I.P.

I didn't think it would be so painful

It's hurting.

I decided to cut my TT visit this year. I went out on a bike right at the start of practice week to see the pre TT classics and the first day. Classics were great but the weather for the rest of it weren't kind.

I'm back out on foot for the back end of race week.

First time I've had a reduced race week visit for over ten years and it's hurting.

Never mind the weather,,listening on the radio to the (delayed and postponed) action is hurting. Listening is great but not a patch on being there.

I'm over for the manx on a bike for an extended visit but i can't do this again.....

I've had a good word with myself and given my head a good sheck.....I'm booked on for all race week next year.

If i ever come up with this idea again.... Remind me of this post

Enjoy the TT all and just so you know.... I wish i were there with you!

See you in the middle of next week

Some days ago there was a picture of Peter Hickman very close to crash at a right hander on the TT-course. Can't find it now. Was it on this forum or somewhere else, please? Downloaded by any member here? Possible to see again?

i wonder if somebody can give me advice. My nephew is relocating to Castletown in August to teach at a local school.
He is looking for accommodation with private kitchen and bathroom facilities. Can anyone point him in the right direction please?
Any advice appreciated.

TT fery passenger numbers up but motorcycle numbers are down

Read how many are expected this year in this fascinating story from the BBC,
apparently it's the third year in a row that figures have surpassed the record from 2007 of 47,000,
even thought they expect 40,000? Confused
(unless I'm reading it wrong, of course, which is entirely possible 'cos I'm trying to get everything sorted & packed on the bike,
ready for sailing tomorrow morning!  Party2 Party2 )

  Joey in NZ 1995
Posted by: paul walton - 26-05-2025, 10:55 AM - Forum: Joey Dunlop - No Replies

Joey Dunlop in New Zealand.

During Christmas 1994, New Year 1995. Joey led, what was termed as a 'UK Invasion', a group of British and Irish motorcycle racers to compete in a series of races throughout New Zealand, including Ian Lougher and Emlyn Hughs. Christchurch, in the South Island, saw Joey and the other riders race at the suburban New Brighton Street Race and also on the circuit track at Ruapuna. Joey rode a Honda RS125 supplied by Pacific Motorcycles Christchurch, and a Honda RS250 brought out from the UK. Joey also did several demonstration laps on one of fabulous 'Britten V1000' super-bikes.
