The Late Ferry

The buzz is growing across the ranks..
My radio station is now speaking Manx.
Checking the forecast, checking my kit..
Watching the webcams, I chomp at the bit.
“When are you going?” “er, I’m not sure I’ll bother”.
My twitchy fingers, on the keyboard hover.
Next year’s tickets released, while I look at next weeks’.!
Like a Ferry Cross the Mersey, the Steam Packet site creaks.
Is that an Azores High, in the north Atlantic.?
The website crashes, it’s getting frantic.
Johnny Moss and Kinners up the pace.
Racers line up for Practice, ahead of the first race.
Then from nowhere it appears, and with one click I’m booked.
It’s the same every year, I can’t help it, I’m hooked.
Now, pack a tent, or just pack a bag.?
Too late for a permit at the Sulby Cladagh.
But I’m on my way, I’ll soon be there..
To bathe in the TT atmosphere.
You’ll find me in the Rovers, getting steadily merry..
As for next year, you know, I’ll be on the late ferry.

I'm at schoolhouse corner today. Sat in the school yard on the right . First time at this spot. I will let you know my thoughts.

You've probably heard, but, due to an RTC, practice is cancelled.
They will be using the Friday evening contingency.
So, folk like myself, that arrive mid afternoon, will get to see another session!

I have a 4-bed glamping tent at Braddan Bridge from 6/3-6/9 (June 3rd to 9th), which covers the bulk of the racing that week.
