  Help needed with car rental/transportation
Posted by: nikm - 01-05-2025, 09:07 PM - Forum: TT Related Posts (Only) - Replies (5)

Hi all.  Here to ask for help with finding transportation for our visit.  It's 3 of us, arriving on the 3rd and leaving on the 7th.  Staying in Andreas.  After painfully sorting out accommodation, 4 flights, 2 ferries and a train ride over Ireland and England, we struck out on a car rental.  Perhaps, the public transport will suffice and we will have to make do with that (feel free to leave me a note on how that will work), but we would prefer to have wheels somehow.  Maybe someone is willing to rent us their personal vehicle for those days, but we would be perfectly fine with someone, for a fee of course, being our driver and part time tour guide.  A ride or two into Douglas for a bite and rides to/from viewing spots.
Grateful for any and all help.
Niko

I saw him talking about this at Daytona last month & his ARCH team have joined with Suter to enter the racing world (& make a documentary about it!)
Apparently they're hoping to have Jeremy McWilliams riding for them later this season & then hope to go International (including TT2026) next year.

Talking about film type things, whatever happened to that Bollywood star that was going to make a film at The Southern 100 a few years back?, just before lockdown, I think it was.

  Liverpool 26th may sailing
Posted by: Chrisp955 - 29-04-2025, 09:15 AM - Forum: TT Related Posts (Only) - Replies (3)

Hi all. Just a heads up.
Liverpool FC will be touring the streets of Liverpool with there league trophy. The procession finishes round the liver buildings.
From what iv see there will be a lot of disruption streets closed ect.
It will definitely make it more difficult to get to the port. The new port shouldn't be as badly effected as the old one as it's further away from the town centre.
I will be leaving extra early for my dinner time sailing. I suggest anyone on that sailing looks at a more round about route to the port .
