I have to agree with Charlie on that point. How can time SPENT on bikes be considered as wasted?
I was privilaged to meet up with Charlie at the Gold Cup Races, last month and we both found that we had a lot in common. (And not just that his wife is named Chris).
MV, we also have a lot in common as, when I get home I live in Fleet probably about 30 odd miles from you. I first went to Thruxton in the late fifties (on a 1938 Levis 500). When you traveled from Staines, you probably passed through the little village where I was born, Hartley Wintney.
I am also expecting retirement next year but not until I get back from the TT. Hope to see you all there.
I may try to look you up sometime, later in the year, as I have a friend working in Middle Wallop near you I have promised to visit.
