In the academic game it is all about publishing. Publish or die they say.
So these guys have set up their own little journal and keep pumping out publications. Sad little world which I have been guilty of being part of. The only real way to experience the TT is to be there. I read about it for 40 years but nothing can prepare you for standing beside the course. There is a word for them, it starts with wan and finishes with kers.
