The fatalities this week have been awful and my sympathies go out to all family and friends.

One question that should be asked, and may well appear at the inquests, is whether the riders have enough practice time? The counter argument is that the riders stay perfectly healthy when they're sat waiting around to go out and there must be a clear correlation between racing miles and injuries.

I don't know but it is alarming to hear riders saying they had only two laps on the bike etc.
