The end of the world
No more horse sh*t on the promenade.
The castle is falling down.
Murrays is closing.
Global warming.
Bird flu.
AIDS.
SARS.
Morning practice ended.
No more two strokes.
No real racing machines.
National speed limit on the Island.
Not enough marshals.
Quarterbridge pub to close.
The chippy on the hill has changed hands.
Tony's souvenire shop has closed.
Australians have bought the ferry service.
The suits are moving in.
Roadwork changes to the Mountain Course.

Oh woe woe and lack-a-day.
The Sky is falling said Chiken Licken, but nobody listened.

I think I will just end it all and leap off the Fairey Bridge next time I come over to see the oldest and the best roadracing in the world.

Cheer up everyone it is not all over yet.

"My pessimism extends to the point of even suspecting the sincerity of other pessimists".

i know there's no comparison really, but which clown brought the british gp forward even more so that it now clashes with skerries? i know where i'll be the first weekend in july, but after missing the gp for a couple of years [this year it was brought forward two weeks and clashed with aberdare, so i missed it], i would have liked just to see and hear those gp machines in practice. looking at the gp calendar, there's a four week gap and a three week gap in it. who makes these damned things up?

End of the World
That's a dismal list you compiled. But, cheer up, Don.
Remember the words of that great philosopher, Charlie Brown -

"It can't be the end of the world. It's already tomorrow in Australia!"

I've got my tickets for tonight's raffle - good luck to all!

Cheers, Harry

Of course, Harry...I have competition for that bike, don't I? Hmmm...spells are needed, or is that cheating? I am hoping to have a txt telling me the winner later.

Helen - tonight's raffle
Helen - I'll make you a deal. If I win the bike I will sell it to you a very friendly price, pay for my trip to the TT and make a donation back to the Foundation. How's that for a deal?

And , yes! Spells would be cheating LOL!!

Cheer, Harry

What about the rare mixture of tattooed, hairy bikers  and the nice ladies of "TT Teas" fame. Surely something not to be missed. Big Grin
