This is fun.................... apparently Steve Ogrizovic was the subject of a fake kidnap story. There was and still is an online petition in support of him after he was held hostage in Kazakhstan

Read it here

Perhaps my post wasn't clear but Steve Ogrizovic was born in 1957 and so would have been a baby IF he was on that flight .
As I said it's an urban myth. Steve Ogrizovic has no connection at all with the Munich air crash

11 miles from Douglas as in sea terminal?

Or 11 miles from Ramsey?

Better stop guessing now!

Sorry Helen, I may be a curmudgeon and not an anorak, but the Fish and Chip family were the Bretts - sons Charlie and Jack.

11th Milestone answer.

I thought some of you anoraks may have come up with the answer, but the answer is actually Castletown.

Have a look see the next time you pass it. It is imprinted upon the original stone marker.

Cargo, Arthur

Vera Lukic did indeed survive the Munich disaster along with her daughter as rightly stated.

However, she was pregnant at the time and she went on to give birth to the future Arsenal goalkeeper....... John Lukic.

Sorry kimbiker but that is just NOT true and heres why

Munich air crash................. 6 February 1958

John Lukic.............born...... 11 December 1960

That means his mum was pregnant for nearly 2 years

All the records for the Munich air crash say that Mrs Lukic had a baby at the time of the crash and a Man UTD player called Harry Gregg saved that childs life and of course it was a girl called Venona
