Funeral Arrangements for Mrs Gwen Crellin MBE
I have just received confirmation that the funeral is on Saturday 16th December at 11.00am at Ballaugh Parish Church, and then back to the Sulby Glen Hotel.

Floral Tributes to Cowle's Northern Funeral Service 7 Dale Street Ramsey Isle of Man Telephone 815156 OR Donations to either The Manx Blind Welfare Society, Corrin Court. Heywood Avenue Onchan Isle of Man IM3 3AP or Hospice Care , St Bridgets Hospice,Dorothy Pantin House . Kensington Road ,Douglas ,Isle of Man IM1 3PE.

Gwen has requested that riders accomany her into the Church if possible. Therefore I am asking that you riders on the Isle of Man come and say your farewell to a Lady who has done so much for your sport. In her requests she has asked for riders to preceed her and follow her into the Church. SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO PLEASE BOYS.

Spoke to John this morning, It was the intention that Riders gather at the Church and walk into the church before and after her, but he said if riders would like to follow her on their bikes (which he was very touch by the gesture ) they are more than welcome to meet at the Chapel of Rest in Ramsey, by the side of the swimming pool, from 10.20am. Gwen will leave Ramsey at 10.30am and stop at her house on route.

Motor cycling, mountain climbing and bull fighting are the only true sports. All the rest are childrens games played by adults.

Hi all,

Is it just team riders to follow or may I join on bike?

Gwen is my fathers God Mother and very close to our family...her laughter will be much missed.
Keep the rubber side down.

Alex,

I am sure Gwen would be delighted to be surrounded by Bikes, no matter whether you raced or just take pleasure in bikes, bikers to Gwen were her life.

Show up on your bike mate for sure Smile

Fitz is right. in life Gwen never made a difference between first and last.... all riders in any race were heroes to her. Anyway, you're kind of family. See you there.
You are SO right about her laughter...she will be having a laugh up there with Peter Jarmann, I bet!

Many happy memories recalled, and great tributes paid to a great lady today. Now here's a funny thing...two rows in front of me was a prominent official in motorcycling, and, during the service, a LADYBIRD wandered up his back, meandering along slowly. When I told the monister about this, he immedoately said "That would be Gwen". Never seen that happen before......
