Old Radio Commentary?
Can anyone help?
Does anyone have, or know where I can find, old TT radio commentaries?
I must admit I haven't yet emailed manx radio, although there doesn't seem to be anything obvious on their home page.
It would be great to listen to old races exactly as I remember them during the late 60's, right through to the mid 90's.
Any info would be much appreciated.
thanks

RE: Old Radio Commentary?
Just had a quick search on Amazon.co.uk it has 1960s TT race commentaries on CDs. Selected full race commentaries (60s - 90s and also a few from recent years) were also for sale via download (I bought 1992 & 95 Seniors a while back) at 7.50 a pop! Not sure if you can still get the downloads as I can't seem to find them on Amazon..
'Course I don't know what that b@stard shark's gonna do with it, might eat it I suppose. Seen one eat a rockin' chair one time.

Duke marketing do things like this -
http://www.dukevideo.com/Search?q=audio+...t=&start=0
Reminds me, I have a cassette somewhere of the entire Formula 1 race from 1979, must dig it out! I agree with the captain. Duke has some good stuff. Once I had the Diamond Jubilee TT on some vinyls 33 rpm. Gone since many years. Don't know excactly but I believe they were worn out! Now I have it on CD. I remember one line in an intervju with Stanley Wods. Reporter ask -How do you feel Stanley? -A little bit sad I suppose...
Don't be that optimistic! The light in the tunnel can be a train.

Still can't remember where these vinyls went.

RE: Old Radio Commentary?
Many thanks to all,
I'd really like to listen to those TDK C90's, that sounds exactly what I'm looking for. Just the raw radio commentary, warts n all.
My memory is fading a fair bit so can anyone give me a timeline for which commentators were where? and when?
ie when was Tommy Robb based at Balacraine?
When did Geoff Cannel start and finish at Ballaugh?
Is there a book on all of this?
I like the idea of contacting Fred Clarke and other forums.
cheers
