  George Paterson
Posted by: Anonymous - 02-09-2001, 06:03 PM - Forum: Manx Grand Prix & Classic TT - No Replies

I am very sad to report that George Paterson, who loved racing at the Manx, died racing at Knockhill this afternoon. I am sure that many of you knew and respected George who had raced for over 40 years in Scotland and the Isle of Man.
If anyone wants funeral details, please e-mail me and I will pass them on as soon as I know.

  Joeys memorial
Posted by: Anonymous - 11-08-2001, 09:44 PM - Forum: Joey Dunlop - No Replies

I visited Joey's memorial in Ballymoney on Wednesday 8th August 2001. I live in England now but when visiting 'hame' near there I had to see it. I used to watch the North West 200 in the 70's & 80's but little did I know, what a king he would be. There will never be another.

Are you planning to "come over for the Manx"this year? Or are you on the Island already looking for a get together?

The Joey Dunlop Injured Riders Fund would like to see you all on Sunday 26th August for an evening of good fun and good company, and hopefully the chance to raise a few bob.

Watch this space for further details very soon..........

  MGP Cancellation
Posted by: Anonymous - 01-08-2001, 01:02 AM - Forum: Manx Grand Prix & Classic TT - Replies (1)

Cancellation of the MGP was, I suppose, inevitable, given the strength of the farming lobby. What is planned for the fans who, like me, are coming to the Island anyway for MGP week?
Any racing at Jurby?
