I have just read that Paul Bird has passed away at the age of 56 no age very sad indeed RIP Paul

i see they have gone back to the 1960s on the new boat tyiing bike to bike with ropes ,all we need is tyres inbetween and the picture is complete

Well,,that's it for another year. We're still on the island but head home tomorrow. 

Had a great week, great racing, fun riding and not too bad weather.....

Got here Wednesday afternoon but practice was cancelled,,got off the boat and headed straight to the digs on a damp, gloopy evening.

Thursday saw us up at Glen duff for the afternoon and start finish grandstand for the evening in pleasant late summer sun.

Friday got cancelled by the weather, we were at morown. Once roads opened we were out and about, even got over the mountain later on

Saturday was a good day at morown, all day being fed and watered by the great people at the chapel.

Sunday was wet in the afternoon, had a good mooch around the pits and Douglas, turned out not a bad day later in the afternoon.

Monday was a long one,,all day at barregarrow crossroads, the long wait is soon forgotten once the racing kicks off, we've all had long days in the hedgerows, it's part of the game.

Today, been on the bike all day, up and down the island, having cake and coffee pit stops and slipped an ice cream in on Douglas front.

Easy morning tomorrow, brekkie, shower, pack, load up and potter into Douglas to idle the afternoon away until the boat.

Hope you've all enjoyed the manx and I'll see you on the island in 2024

Had to laugh when the Manx Radio commentator was reading comments by these two illustrious gentlemen and said he had no idea who thet were, I thought 'I do'!!

Following the abandonment of Friday's session, Saturday has been delayed as well.

First up will now be the 'Made at the Manx' Centenary Parade Lap at 1:15pm.

Then the first official race of this year's event - the Classic Senior MGP (3 laps) - will get underway at 2:15pm.
 
Straight after, at 4:15pm, will be the Junior MGP (4 laps), and finishing off the action for the day at 6:15pm is Sure Lightweight MGP. (3 laps)

Hoping there will be some racing soon for those on The Island

Darryl Anderson, a competitor in the Senior and Classic Senior MGP classes, has been excluded from the 2023 event following a positive drugs test.

So this will be my 1st Manx and the 1st time iv been to the island without my bike. I'm on the 2am tomorrow morning. I'm looking at parking the van up in a different place each night. It's a VW That 5 so not a big van. I'm trying to avoid campsites . Any one got any recommendations for over night parking with a good view and maybe a pub in working distance. Iv always stayed in Douglas so I want to avoid there and try different places. Also any recommendations to watch from with van parking . Thanks chaps and long live TTwebsite
